A user-friendly mobile app designed to help Ontario residents find family doctors, book appointments, and access health services with ease.

In Ontario, finding a family doctor or accessing timely healthcare services can be a challenge for many residents. The Ontario Health App was designed to bridge this gap—offering an intuitive, mobile-first platform where users can search for available family doctors, book appointments, and explore nearby health services with ease. This case study showcases the UX design process behind creating a tool that prioritizes accessibility, clarity, and trust. From user research to high-fidelity prototyping, every design decision aimed to simplify the healthcare journey and empower residents to take charge of their well-being.

Transforming Healthcare Access: Ontario Health App’s Lasting Impact and Future Vision

The Ontario Health App redefines how residents connect with healthcare providers by combining accessibility, convenience, and inclusivity. Key features include location-based doctor search, the ability to join a preferred physician’s waiting list, and direct phone connections for those who prefer personal interaction. Designed with all age groups in mind, the app also supports family accounts, enabling children to help manage their parents’ healthcare with ease. Looking ahead, the platform will continue to evolve—expanding its service network, refining appointment systems, and integrating new tools to further simplify the healthcare journey. This project is a UX design that makes healthcare services easy to access for people of all ages.
